Oh my. What a week it has been. Kind of a bit randomly, we adopted a kitten on Sunday. She is on a two week trial, but we are in love. We are taking things very slowly, because Sasha is very territorial, and it is all about the smell, apparently. (Sasha hisses at the cleaner and howls at the food delivery man.) Having said that, she is very smart and playful, so we just felt we should try and get her a buddy. We are taking it in turns on kitten and Sasha shifts, swapping rooms, their toys and bedding, so they can get used to each others smells. There have been a couple of interactions, some hissing but no fights. We are going to be taking it very very slow.

On a second note, I had my first piece for SBS Life published today! A bit of a change from the travel stuff, I have been pitching to write about more social stuff and lifestyle, with more coming out in a few months. I wrote about a childfree life, and misconceptions about who will look after us when we are old. Who knows? But not always our kids, it seems.
