It is only appropriate that the night my second husband Aaron Paul is away accepting his THIRD Emmy, that I have been nominated for a Liebster Award.
I am still not clear what this award is but it seems to be one of those linky blogger questionnaire type things.
I am beside myself that I now know other bloggers, and am not just blogging to myself and the cat anymore (wohoo).
The lovely Hugzilla and McFlyundone asked that I answer the questions below, so I shall.
1. What was your favourite subject at school?
History and English. We had the BEST ever history teacher, who used to combine stories of world war one with how she spent her weekends washing her cats in the shower. Maybe this teacher was to lead me into the future of the cray cray cat lady business, but man she was AWESOME. If I could find her for a beer or a cuppa I would love to. My Mum is an English HSC teacher so being bad at English was never an option for me. I liked creative writing and historical essays. Sad I know.
I was terrible at maths and science and still am. Give me an excel spreadsheet or a table and I promise I can mangle it for you in two short seconds (despite all the course I have been on).
2. How easily do you wake up when your alarm goes off?
I am one of those annoying chirpy morning type people. Many friends have suffered whilst traveling with me. (Sorry Jana). Usually I am up before the alarm as I either travel to work early or do some kind of training in the morning. If not then the cat is edging me out of the bed so I wake up anyway.
3. You could never miss a single episode of which TV show?
It is over now but Breaking Bad was I think the BEST show EVER. It is how I met my second husband. Aaron Paul. Did I mention he is away tonight winning an Emmy? I am so proud.
I also watch Law & Order SVU, House of Cards, AND Orange is The New Black. Actually, now I write that all down, I watch a bit of TV. (I did read once. Before I got married.)
4. What’s your go-to dish when you’re asked to bring a plate?
Any type of cake. The photo says it all.
5. If you could be a character from a favourite book from your childhood, who would you be?
Even though I was PETRIFIED of this book when I was little and could not sleep for months after I read it, I would probably choose the flat man.
If I was the flat man now, I would be super skinny, could fit between walls and could creep around and scare people who I did not like.
6. You’re exploring a scenic beachside village. Would you prefer to do it on foot or by bike?
On foot or in the water.
7. The reality TV show that you would absolutely blitz, would be what
I like to think I could be the next Jackson Galaxy from the show “My Cat From Hell”. It seems the most advice I give to people lately has either been:
a) My cat is doing XYZ please help OR
b) How can I run a marathon with the least training possible?
I don’t think that attitude would go down well on the biggest loser, so I will stick with the cat show.
(Yes this cat show actually exists.) Even as a cat lady I find Jackson “The Cat Daddy” kinda creepy.
8. Do you prefer your Summer or Winter wardrobe?
Winter! It is much easier and less time consuming to get dressed. Whack on a dress, a pair of boots and there you have your outfit. Deodorant optional.
9. What’s your favourite way to relax?
Blogging and writing is quite relaxing for me at the moment!
I also like to meditate (when I remember to sit still). Also running and swimming and yoga and pilates. #can’tsitstillforlong
10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere between the mountains and sea. Or to have the option of BOTH at any time of the year would be awesome.
But if I had to pick one, it would be near the sea. I must say I am pretty happy where I live right now, as I write this I can hear the storm and the waves crashing.
And now I shall nominate the following ladies for the Liebster Award…..
